Suria KLCC is a modern shopping mall located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The mall opened in May 1998 and was conceived as part of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre Project. Suria KLCC was constructed at the foot of the Petronas Twin Towers and offers views of KLCC park and Lake Symphony. The mall’s floor plan is crescent shaped, featuring three ground level exit wings to Jalan Ampang, Jalan P. Ramlee, and Persiaran Petronas. Direct access to the lobby of the towers, the Petronas Philharmonic Hall and Lake Symphony are available. On concourse level entrance to the Light Rail Transit (LRT) is available at the Ampang end and entrance to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre via tunnel in the off the center court.
Bold modern bespoke hardware
Abuzz designed completely bespoke enclosures for the project and worked closely with the management team to deliver the perfect solution. The result is a bold stainless steel and glass enclosure featuring landscape screens and an integrated section for brochures. The majority of directories included a single screen, while the busier locations required a dual screen configuration for maximum access.
A flexible directory and media delivery solution
Suria KLCC required a custom Wayfinder directory solution and complete media system that would give them total control and flexibility. To support this, Abuzz produced free-standing digital media totems that the centre could use to schedule and distribute media. The same media system as the directories was integrated for a cohesive solution.
